Who we are

The British Academy is a registered charity in England and Wales (charity number 233176). It has one wholly-owned trading subsidiary (Clio Enterprises Limited, company number 07595846). The British Academy manages an online Grants Management System called Flexi-Grant. This Privacy Policy applies to all the above entities.

This Privacy Policy relates to information which is obtained by the British Academy and for which the British Academy is the Data Controller.

The British Academy is committed to protecting and storing securely any personal and sensitive data held.

Newsletter

We use MailChimp to provide our e-mail newsletter service. In order to sign up to this service, an individual has to submit personal information about themselves (e.g. name, e-mail address, interests).

This personal data is collected by MailChimp on behalf of {10-11} Carlton House Terrace. The data is stored on a secure MailChimp server. MailChimp are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes nor to sell or distribute it on to any other individual, organization or business under any circumstances.

You can 'opt out' of the newsletter at any time by clicking on the 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of each newsletter.

Social media

Our website uses the Facebook and Twitter share functionality on some pages.
