Unveiling {10-11} Carlton House Terrace's three new multi-purpose event spaces

November 2024

We were delighted to welcome 100 event professionals to {10-11} Carlton House Terrace last night for the official launch of our three brand-new event spaces.

The lower ground floor of our Grade I listed building underwent a £9.6 million development and has been repurposed with versatile event spaces designed by Wright & Wright Architects.

At our exclusive launch, guests were given the opportunity to take part in tours of {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, showcasing our existing spaces as well as the newest additions: the Lecture Room, Wohl Gallery and SHAPE Room.

Our venue was decorated with beautiful displays from InWater Flowers, whilst entertainment was provided by Black Canvas Entertainment and included magicians and live music from The Acoustics. Our photographer for the event was Greg Allen Photography, with videography from Aniseed Photo.

The evening included fantastic catering provided by our in-house partner Searcys, with our highlights being their Selected Cuvée Brut, a selection of delicious canapés and bowl food, plus an interactive dessert station.

Prudence Jaguelin, Searcy’s General Manager at {10-11} Carton House Terrace adds: “Searcys are thrilled to support {10-11} Carlton House Terrace on this exciting launch and look forward to continuing our partnership and enhancing our offerings here as well. With the addition of an updated kitchen, a new skilled team, and a fresh focus on sustainable menu options, we’re committed to delivering exceptional experiences for all guests. This launch represents a significant step forward in our journey to provide innovative and environmentally responsible catering solutions with an incredible venue.”

Meet the Lecture Room: a sophisticated space with top-of-the-range technical facilities, air-conditioning, and natural daylight. This neutral interior provides plenty of branding opportunities and can accommodate up to 80 guests.

Explore the Wohl Gallery, a contemporary space adjoining both the Lecture Room and SHAPE Room. This flexible space is suitable for a range of events, including board meetings, training, and press announcements of up to 70 guests.

Discover the SHAPE Room, an exciting new space with technical facilities to support a multitude of events, from lectures to conferences, and presentations of up to 100 guests. It has its own entrance, private green room, and nearby cloakroom, and works well in conjunction with the adjoining Wohl Gallery.

These versatile spaces are well suited to both individual or combined hire in a variety of event setups and are fully accessible. Each space is equipped with built-in technology for hosting a range of in-person and hybrid events.

Nicola Spencer from Tindall Riley, who attended our launch event, said: "Thanks for the invite to join you and the 10-11 CHT team for the launch of the lower ground floor event spaces. Everything looked splendid and homogenous. Lovely spaces, on their own or as a suite."

Our new spaces feature an eco-conscious design including an entirely carbon-free heating system, and we’re proud to be the first Grade I listed property in Westminster to have double-glazing.

Amie Murphy, our Business Development and Marketing Manager says: “We were thrilled to welcome guests from across the events industry to our launch, showcasing the biggest changes our venue has seen since it opened in 1902. Our diverse selection of event spaces, all equipped with advanced technology, can accommodate an array of different formats. The transformation has allowed us to meet the growing demand for online and hybrid events, as well as heighten the in-person experience. We’re excited to enter this new chapter in our history, as a future forward venue for hosting world-class events.”
