A once confusing warren of spaces of the Academy will be transformed into the SHAPE Room; an elegant, double height, pillarless space whose interior boasts a contemporary finish with natural daylight. However, blackout blinds provide privacy and an ideal environment for video content if required. This exciting new development is equipped with top-of-the-range technical facilities to support a whole range of events, from debates and lectures to conferences and media presentations. It also makes it ideal for hybrid events and includes HD cameras - perfect for capturing the event or live streaming, offering you the opportunity to connect to a global audience.

The SHAPE Room is a 100 seat contemporary conference space which is self-contained, versatile and can be tailored to your every need. It is the venues largest room and has an elegant palette of cream, stone and light wood and provides ample opportunities for branding. It has its own entrance, private green room and nearby cloakroom. This new space works perfectly in conjunction with the adjoining Wohl Gallery if you also require space for a drinks reception, networking or exhibition and will be essential for full day or evening events with audiences bigger than 70 guests.

Called the SHAPE Room in reference to the collective name for the social sciences, humanities and the arts, Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy/Environment (SHAPE) This term was developed, by {10-11}’s parent organisation The British Academy, the UK’s home to humanities and social sciences as a tool to tell the story of these subjects.
