Lecture Room

The Lecture Room is, as its name suggests, the perfect setting for your lecture, conference or panel discussion. Located on the first floor of the venue, guests make their way to the room via the beautiful black marble staircase.

Large windows allow for plenty of natural light, while blackout blinds can be activated to ensure the best view of the giant 95inch plasma screen on the integrated stage.

Visitors will be enthralled by your speakers, sitting under the Trompe L’oeil painted ceiling, commissioned by the Ridley family in the style of Eugene Delacroix, the leader of the French Romantic school. This unique painting remains unfinished due to the outbreak of war, during which the room was turned into a ward for wounded officers. During this transformative period, the nurses would push the beds to the open windows and people would cheer the heroes from the Duke of York steps outside.
