2025 wedding food and drink trends

In keeping with recent years, we’re continuing to see a move away from the traditional seated, multi-course wedding breakfast. Less formal grazing tables, sharing menus and interactive food stations are among the most popular alternatives, creating memorable moments of social interaction, centred around the mutual enjoyment of food.

“The personal touch seems to be taking centre stage with everything this year,” says Prudence Jaguelin, Searcy’s General Manager at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace. “Couples are curating menus more, to reflect their personalities and the flavours they love. Dessert bars are in demand and the more creative and interactive these can be, the better. We work closely with couples to understand the style of food and culinary experience they’re looking for and create bespoke menu options to enhance their special day.”

Non-traditional wedding ‘cakes’ are also on the rise, with oversized sharing desserts such as pavlova, towers of French Croquembouche or Italian Millefoglie, all proving popular.

Signature cocktails replacing the champagne toast, are adding yet another layer of personalisation to the occasion.

2025 wedding attire trends

From mini wedding dresses in a variety of styles, to American-inspired custom tuxedos, people are exploring ways to make a statement and reflect their individuality through their choice of attire.

According to Rock My Wedding’s 2025 wedding trend report, multiple wedding day outfits are fast becoming a new norm. “Brides today are looking to change up their look throughout the celebration, and designers are meeting that demand with new collections that offer versatility,” says Editor Jennifer Read-Dominguez. “Whether it’s for the ceremony, reception, or after-party, modern brides are now embracing the opportunity to express different facets of their personality with various looks throughout the day.”

2025 wedding content capture trends

Candid moments captured in real-time provide a refreshing new way to curate and share lasting memories of your special day. Enter the wedding content creator – a specialist who will work alongside your photographer and videographer, creating short-form content that can be shared quickly across your social media channels.

With this approach, couples don’t have to wait for their official photos or video before sharing content with their loved ones. Having a content creator capture what is happening behind-the-scenes as well as the major moments helps create an authentic re-telling of the day, for you to cherish for years to come.

Social media savvy couples are increasingly working with creators to put their own unique spin on popular TikTok and Instagram trends.

The unique architectural features and opulent décor at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace provide countless stunning backdrops and opportunities for creating show-stopping content.

Other popular 2025 wedding trends

Here are a few other notable trends to watch out for this year:

  • An eye-popping combination of colours: Hitched reports that when it comes to wedding flowers, “Couples are looking for colour and chaos, with clashing arrangements - Pinterest revealed that searches for ‘pink and orange flowers’ are up 200% and there’s a 300% increase in people seeking ‘vibrant wedding flowers’ inspo.”
  • The inclusion of interactive entertainment: think mirrored photo booths, audio guestbooks and live illustrators helping to create unforgettable moments. Live bands continue to take precedence over traditional DJs, heightening the energy and atmosphere and keeping guests dancing and singing the night away.
  • Micro weddings: some couples are choosing to curtail the guest list and opt for more intimate gatherings. The cost savings associated with this often means they can extend their celebrations, hosting pre and post wedding events to maximise the time spent with their nearest and dearest.
