1. Tell us a bit about your organisation?

Mighty Fine Entertainment is the brainchild of legendary DJ Mark van den Berg (aka Mark Luvdup). Voted as one of the top 25 DJs in the world, Mark has over 30 years’ experience of rocking dance floors globally from Ibiza to Australia, Canada to Russia (plus everywhere in between) and now every prestigious event venue in the South East.

Realising that there was a need for a company that were answering modern tastes and cultures Mark launched Mighty Fine Entertainment in 2012.

Outstanding customer service and attention to detail is at the core of everything Mighty Fine does. We are always looking to achieve excellence in every aspect of our business, and, Mark and co-director Janine van den Berg have carefully selected and brought together an accomplished team of DJs, musicians, acts, magicians etc. who have been chosen for their incredibly high standards of both performance and communication skills, combined with the Mighty Fine attention to detail and service delivery to ensure you get an event exactly as planned. We provide entertainment and production for all types of events including corporate parties, product launch events, award ceremonies, private parties, Christmas parties, weddings, the list goes on.

Our outstanding reputation and consistency at delivering stunning events has led Mighty Fine Entertainment to be recommended suppliers at many of London and the South East’s most prestigious venues and have also been awarded and recognised in throughout the wedding industry by being voted ‘Best National Wedding DJs’ at The Wedding Industry Awards 2013 (as well as ‘Best Wedding DJs in London and the South East’). Mighty Fine have since gone on to win the “Best Wedding DJs in London & the South East” for three years running. Mark is now a judge at the Awards for the Wedding DJ category.

2. What does a day in the life of you look like?

No two days are ever the same when working at Mighty Fine Entertainment, especially when we have a large event to prepare for. A typical day in the office will be a combination of liaising with new clients, providing quotations, coordinating our performers and production team, holding meetings and then also visiting venues and event spaces and exploring new talent and ideas.

3. What has been your favourite event to date?

We have many wonderful events that we could talk about but the one that springs to mind was for the launch party for Industrial Light & Magic and the opening of their new offices in London. We provided DJs and production for the event including microphones and audio for their guest speakers, George Osborne (Former Chancellor of the Exchequer) and Kathleen Kennedy (President of Lucas Films). The new wave of Star Wars movies were being created at the time and as such we had the pleasure of mingling with R2 D2 and C-3PO!

4. What top tip do you have for event organisers?

Always remember that we are one big team working together to create a fantastic end result!

5. What do you think will be the big trend in events for 2019?

Creating an environment within venue spaces and continuing to focus on the overall experience!
