Christmas Two Ways at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace

Whether you’re a Yuletide traditionalist or prefer a bit of a contemporary twist to your festive celebrations, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace will have the perfect Christmas party package for you. This year our new, ultra-modern spaces are open for Christmas parties for the first time and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests through the doors. The WOHL Gallery, Shape Room and Lecture Room will officially open in September and herald the beginning of a new era for our beautiful, period venue.

As well as opening up a whole extra floor for events and Christmas parties, we’re also delighted to announce that we’ve just embarked on a partnership with London’s leading entertainment agency, Blank Canvas Entertainment. Their track record for producing show-stopping events is second-to-none and the range of acts and performers they have on their books covers every genre of entertainment you can possibly imagine.

The classic Christmas party

{10-11} Carlton House Terrace is a Grade II listed, Georgian townhouse which retains a large amount of its original features. We’ve been hosting traditional festive gatherings in our period property for years and our clients tell us the beautiful setting of the spaces within our building matches our prestigious location in the heart of Westminster. We think it’s this, combined with the sumptuous Christmas feasts served by our in-house catering partner, Searcys, that make our venue the perfect choice for a corporate Christmas party.

Depending on which package you opt for, you and your guests will enjoy one or two of our stunning rooms with views over The Mall, St James Park or Whitehall. Some of the beautiful features our spaces boast include floor to ceiling windows, huge gilt mirrors, intricate plasterwork, polished wooden floors and original works of art. Coupled with simple, classic Christmas decorations and soft candlelight we think this creates a beautiful atmosphere in which to celebrate and to show your staff how much you care.

If you’re keen to take your Christmas party to the next level, you could add on some extra entertainment through Blank Canvas. Complete with winter hats and scarves, their Christmas carollers sing a cappella in fantastic four-part harmonies. They can perform your guests’ favourite Christmas tunes as well as some more modern-day hits. Also popular during the festive season is double act, Harper and Grace. Blending captivating female vocals with expert instrumental performances, this band regularly delights clients with a range of music, their Christmas set including lots of festive tunes.

The contemporary approach

The launch of our new, ultra-modern spaces on the previously un-used lower ground floor of our building, means we can now also offer a very different style of Christmas party. The Lecture Room, Shape Room and the WOHL Gallery are all light, airy, double height spaces and their elegant cream palette creates a perfect neutral background, ready to be dressed for a contemporary Christmas party.

Finding the right entertainment for your contemporary Christmas party is an exciting task for an event organiser. Blank Canvas has lots of options for all occasions, including some fabulous choices for modern Christmas parties. For example, the Lite Acrobats, who have two different acts to choose from; the Winter Wonderland acrobatic dancers or the family-fun and interactive acrobatic elves. Both acts combine high-level acrobatics with amazing programmable LED light staffs to create a stunning light show for your guests. Or, if you think your guests might appreciate a truly outrageous experience during your celebrations, you could hire a Christmas Grinch to join your event. The Grinch is one of the most iconic Christmas characters and is a guaranteed crowd pleaser; adored by adults and children alike. Watch as the grumpy Grinch wreaks havoc at your event, leaving a trail of giggling guests in his wake.

The food and drink

We have four options for our Christmas party packages. Clients can choose to celebrate with a lunch or dinner, and you can opt for a fork buffet or a sit-down meal. Our catering partner, Searcys, curates their menus with seasonality and sustainability in mind while keeping taste at the forefront of everything they do. Their selection of Christmas dishes will give clients the opportunity to go all out with festive ingredients, or to opt for a more subtle approach with just a sprinkling peppered through their choices.

Prices, capacities and upgrades

Christmas party packages start at £107.50 per guest and we have rooms with a variety of capacities. The Library and Reading Room can host up to 50 lunch or dinner guests and up to 150 people for a standing reception. The Council and Music Rooms accommodate the same number of reception guests but can fit up to 70 for a sit-down meal and the Radhakrishnan and Beatrice Webb Rooms can cater for 100 diners and 200 standing guests.

If you’re looking to go all out with your festive merriment this year, you could consider upgrading your DJ (included in the package) for live entertainment, add on a Champagne welcome drinks, midnight munchies, canapes or a cheese course to name but a few extras.
